While all Real Madrid players were granted a few days off to celebrate with their families, one of Carlo Ancelotti’s top talents refused to leave Madrid.
Real Madrid will return to action on Friday, 3rd January. Following their 4-2 victory over Sevilla in the 18th round of La Liga on 22nd December, Carlo Ancelotti’s players are set to resume training this Monday. While this break has brought immense joy to several Madrid players, some of whom travelled to various countries, such as Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, and Luka Modric, Endrick chose to stay put. Unlike Arda Güler, who has seen his situation improve, the 18-year-old forward finds himself in a mixed position.
Endrick looks for change in 2025

Not part of Carlo Ancelotti’s primary plans, the former Palmeiras player, who joined the Spanish capital last June, has spent the entire holiday period training in Madrid. According to Relevo, Endrick declined to leave Spain to enjoy the festive season. Deeply concerned about his situation, the youngster with 2 goals in 9 matches has been working tirelessly on his physical condition with his personal trainer to return to training in peak form.
“Alongside him, in addition to his family, is Vinicius Nevado, the man who has been shaping the forward for years and is accompanying him on this journey,” the Iberian outlet reports. Recently, Endrick himself shared several photos from the gym with his fitness coach, a key member of the forward’s training team and a trusted figure.
Endrick’s decision to stay is a bold one, as he also refuses to go out on loan to gain more playing time. The question now is whether Carlo Ancelotti will give him another chance. The Brazilian forward undoubtedly possesses unique qualities, characteristic of a true number 9. With Real Madrid’s packed schedule in January (at least nine matches), the coaching staff is expected to rotate the squad to prevent further injuries early in the year.
As mentioned recently, the Copa del Rey will serve as a significant opportunity for Endrick and other players lacking game time to earn some minutes. Fans eagerly anticipate strong performances on the pitch from these players, which will heighten competition across all positions.
