The bad news keeps piling up for Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid. David Alaba (32), who has been out of action since December 2023, has been dealt another blow.

Since the start of the season, Real Madrid have been facing a sad fate. Despite the presence of renowned fitness trainer Antonio Pintus, Carlo Ancelotti’s stars have been dropping like flies. Almost all of the Transalpine coach’s stars have already made a trip to the infirmary since the start of the season. Dani Carvajal has ruptured three ligaments, Rudiger and Militao have been hampered by injuries, and with the winter transfer window just around the corner, Madrid are suffering.

While Carlo Ancelotti is banking on David Alaba’s return ahead of potential signings, the news is not very pleasant for the Italian coach. According to Relevo, the Austrian defender’s return to Real Madrid is still being put off, given the slow pace of his recovery. David Alaba, who underwent a successful operation on 20 December 2023, underwent further surgery last May for a minor cleaning.

At present, no one at Real Madrid knows when the former Bavarian will make his return to the pitch. However, Alaba has not stopped working in the gym at Valdebebas. But he is not expected to make his return until 2025, which means that he will miss more than a year of competition, and we still have to wait for him to find his rhythm again. Stay tuned!
