While Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Valencia has been postponed following dramatic events, Carlo Ancelotti’s men are throwing all their energy into preparing for their Champions League clash with AC Milan on Tuesday. With just a few days to go before the clash, the Transalpine coach has recaptured a very important player.
Now it’s time to prepare for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid returned to training this Friday with a clear objective: to focus on their Champions League clash with the Rossoneri. After the postponement of the La Liga match against Valencia due to the devastating weather conditions caused by DANA in the Valencian region, Real Madrid now have their sights set on Tuesday’s Champions League clash with the Italian club.
The training session at Valdebebas on Friday began with warm-up exercises and ball movement. The intensity then increased with sequences of control and pressing. Under the watchful eye of Carlo Ancelotti, the players then worked on tactical set-ups, finishing with short games and penalty shoot-outs to sharpen their accuracy and agility.
The good news for Ancelotti: Rüdiger is back
One piece of news is the gradual return of some key players. Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé, who were absent from yesterday’s training session, are present, apparently in reassuring form. The England international midfielder and the French striker took part in the entire session on Friday. Meanwhile, Antonio Rüdiger, who recently suffered a muscle strain, has also rejoined the squad and resumed training with his team-mates. The German centre-back is apparently fit, having recovered from the after-effects of the Clasico. His return to defence will be crucial in solidifying Madrid’s rearguard against Milan’s attacks.

Real Madrid’s infirmary is still full, however. Rodrygo Goes and Thibaut Courtois continue to recover from their injuries. David Alaba, meanwhile, is undergoing a special programme at the Valdebebas facilities to speed up his recovery process. Dani Carvajal also misses out, completing the list of injured players.
With the clash with AC Milan imminent, Real Madrid are juggling serious preparations with injury management. These absences could prove decisive in a match where the smallest details can make all the difference. In any case, Ancelotti is ready to field the most competitive team possible against AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
