It’s a historic Clasico! Women’s Barça humiliate Real Madrid with a resounding 5-0 victory in the Spanish Supercup final.
The first ever women’s Clasico in the Spanish Supercup final turned into a demonstration. At Leganes, FC Barcelona gave Real Madrid no chance. The Catalans won by a resounding 5-0 scoreline. Buoyed by a Caroline Graham Hansen in a state of grace, the Catalans gave their Madrid rivals a real lesson in football.
The Norwegian, who had only just returned from an absence for medical reasons, put in an impressive performance. A goal, an assist and an assist in another: Hansen was simply irresistible. But while she dazzled the crowd with her talent, Barça’s success was above all down to a formidable team.

Under the guidance of their coach, Jonatan Giráldez, the Blaugrana fielded a perfectly oiled eleven. Ewa Pajor grabbed a brace, while two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas scored the fifth goal in the dying minutes. It was a fitting reminder that she remains one of the finest players in the history of women’s football.
Real Madrid powerless against the Catalan machine
For Madrid, the scenario quickly turned into a nightmare. Despite some flashes of brilliance from Caroline Weir and Sofie Bruun, the Merengues never looked capable of competing. The Catalan defence, orchestrated by Irene Paredes, neutralised every attack, while goalkeeper Cata Coll was on hand for every attempt.
At the other end, every mistake Madrid made was mercilessly exploited by Barcelona. Patri Guijarro, for example, scored a superb goal that definitively sealed the fate of the match. With this victory, FC Barcelona Women clinch their fifth Spanish Supercup and consolidate their status as one of the giants of women’s football. This inaugural Clasico in the final will live long in the memory, as much for the exceptional performance of Graham Hansen as for the total domination of the Catalan women.
