As well as having to contend with injuries, the Italian coach is finding it hard to get his team to play, and his mixed results are beginning to worry the fans. After an unexpected Champions League defeat at Lille, Real Madrid were ridiculed in the first Clasico of the season at the Bernabeu.
Without the injured Rodrygo and Courtois, Carlo Ancelotti’s men were unable to put on a better show. They lost miserably (0-4). But beyond this defeat, it is the Transalpine coach’s plan that is being called into question. With the arrival of Kylian Mbappé, Carlo Ancelotti is struggling to find a balance in attack. He is starting in earnest to define his strategy of playing with his two best strikers: Vinicius Jr and Mbappé. This automatically relegates Rodrygo Goes to the bench.

But with just a few weeks to go before the start of the winter transfer window, one trend is becoming increasingly clear.
According to Fichajes, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are ready to make a monstrous €150 million bid for Rodrygo Goes, whose future at Real Madrid is uncertain. With Doku, Savinho, Haaland and soon Rodrygo, Pep Guardiola plans to form the most devastating attack in the Premier League and Europe.
While Real Madrid continue to bet on Rodrygo for the future, with Carlo Ancelotti set to make way for Xabi Alonso at the end of the season, Manchester City are hoping to change Florentino Perez’s mind with a foolproof plan.
