Real Madrid host AC Milan at the Bernabeu on Tuesday in the fourth round of the Champions League. Deprived of several key players, Carlo Ancelotti will be looking to bounce back from the humiliation he suffered against Barcelona.
After their humiliating 4-0 home defeat by Barcelona, Real Madrid are desperate to bounce back. While the Casa Blanca club’s match against Valencia was obviously postponed following the tragic events in the region, the club is focusing all its energy on this Tuesday’s Champions League clash with AC Milan.
With six points from a possible nine after an unexpected defeat in Lille, Real Madrid face another heavyweight. After struggling to overcome Borussia Dortmund, Madrid are keen to minimise the risks against the Rossoneri, who have struggled so much so far this season.

4-4-2 diamond formation against Milan, Ancelotti back with his typical team
With Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo doubtful for the match against AC Milan, Carlo Ancelotti already has his plan well and truly mapped out. The Transalpine coach plans to field the same team that lost 4-0 to Barcelona in the Clasico last week.
Barring a catastrophe, the Italian coach is likely to keep Andriy Lunin in goal. Even if they are not at 100%, Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger will also start against the Rossoneri. The two full-backs, Ferland Mendy and Lucas Vazquez, should also keep their places.
Absent from Saturday’s training session, Fede Valverde is expected to be fit for the clash with Milan. He will be joined in midfield by French internationals Aurelien Tchouameni and Edouardo Camavinga and England midfielder Jude Bellingham. Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Jr will be responsible for finishing off the action.
