Real Madrid’s 3-3 draw with Rayo in La Liga on Saturday evening was a bitter pill to swallow. The Casa Blanca club’s official channel had a fit of rage at the final whistle.
Once again, Real Madrid are dropping points away from home. After the defeat at San Mamès against Bilbao and several draws away from home this season, Carlo Ancelotti’s men have apparently been unable to find a way to win at home.
At Rayo Vallecano on Saturday evening, Real Madrid, who had the chance to take the lead in the league if they won, found themselves in trouble from the outset. With their defence a little shaky, the Casa Blanca conceded the opening goal in the 4th minute before conceding a second later on.
Shortly before the break, Federico Valverde sparked a revolt before Jude Bellingham headed in the equaliser. Real Madrid then took the lead with a masterpiece from Rodrygo Goes, hailed by Florentino Perez for his return to form. But Rayo finally snatched an equaliser (3-3) and prevented Carlo Ancelotti’s men from taking the lead in the league.
Real Madrid TV loses its temper after the match
A number of events provoked the wrath of Real Madrid, starting with the referee’s controversial decisions. One of these was the disallowing of a penalty for Vinicius Jr, even though he had been hit on the penalty area line.

According to Real Madrid TV, the action deserved a penalty, and the referee missed his mark. ‘He once again made some very serious mistakes, and always in the same direction. In a press conference after the 3-3 draw, Carlo Ancelotti also commented on the controversy. The Transalpine coach insisted that the referee refused to award a penalty that was totally obvious to Real Madrid. ‘The penalty seemed obvious to me. Vini Jr. wasn’t in the starting line-up because he’d played 90 minutes in the Champions League and, after his injury, we preferred to bring him on in the second half, when there was a little less intensity. Vini was good and had chances to score. He played a good game,’ said Don Carlo.
