Still waiting for improvements in the team, Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid, is starting to grow impatient with Carlo Ancelotti. According to recent internal information, the 65-year-old coach is urgently required to address three key issues within the team.
Three months into the 2024-2025 season, Real Madrid have not achieved the expected results. Already defeated twice, notably in the Champions League (against Lille) and in La Liga (in El Clásico), Carlo Ancelotti’s team is struggling in the standings of these two major competitions. Although everything remains possible in these tournaments, what worries many Madrid fans, starting with president Florentino Pérez, is the team’s overall appearance.
Florentino Pérez wants to see change

Unlike last season, when the team was more united and defensively solid, Real Madrid are now struggling to play a better game. Despite Arda Güler’s acquired experience and the arrival of Kylian Mbappé as a new attacking asset, alongside Endrick, Carlo Ancelotti has yet to find a starting lineup capable of withstanding pressure. In recent days, the Merengue board has begun to doubt the coaching staff’s ability to get the best out of a team brimming with talent.
According to reports from Relevo, Florentino Pérez is beginning to lose patience. While he has no intention of dismissing Carlo, who has firmly earned legendary status at the club and thus deserves preferential treatment, the Real Madrid president expects his coach to improve in the coming weeks. Among the issues concerning Pérez are the tactical choices of the former Bayern Munich manager. Indeed, since Mbappé’s arrival, Ancelotti has positioned Jude Bellingham in ways that prevent him from excelling as he did last season.
Ancelotti under pressure regarding Endrick and Güler

While the situation frustrates the English midfielder, it also displeases the board, who are expecting better from the coaching staff. To make matters worse, the cases of Arda Güler and young Endrick are creating frustration within the management. Seeing the youngsters’ impressive performances with their national teams, Florentino Pérez believes these players could contribute much more to the squad. It is now clear that Carlo Ancelotti must quickly find a way to involve Endrick and Güler.
With the November FIFA international break approaching (the last one of the year), the 18-year-old Brazilian forward, who has not played in the last four games, has been excluded from the national squad. Paying the price for his limited playing time in recent weeks, the former Palmeiras player can rely on support from club officials, who are putting pressure on the Madrid coaching staff.
With Real Madrid’s favourable schedule this month, we will see if Carlo Ancelotti eventually places Jude Bellingham in the best possible positions on the pitch. We will also be watching closely to see the game time given to Güler and Endrick, particularly in La Liga. If the Madrid coach still fails to solve this “luxury problem” (with his squad), he risks seeing his trust erode completely… Xabi Alonso is, in fact, already in Pérez’s thoughts as a replacement should things fail to improve.
