Real Madrid will face FC Barcelona in the final of the 2025 Spanish Super Cup. Thanks to a goal by Jude Bellingham, an own goal, and a stunning strike from Rodrygo Goes against Osasuna, Spanish football fans are set for another Clasico next Sunday.

After Barça’s victory over Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday in the semi-final of the 2025 Spanish Super Cup, Real Madrid also secured their spot by overcoming a valiant Mallorca side on Thursday. In a tense match, marked by clashes between Vinicius Junior and a certain Matteo, who made controversial remarks a few days ago, the Madrid players largely dominated proceedings but lacked sharpness in front of goal. Following a goalless first half, Carlo Ancelotti urged his players to step up for a decisive second period.

Quickly faced with bad news about Aurélien Tchouaméni, who was completely dazed after a head collision in the 51st minute, Real Madrid reorganised to gain the upper hand on the scoreboard. After another series of missed chances, Jude Bellingham finally broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute.

Dominating possession, Real Madrid comfortably managed their narrow lead, thanks also to the solid defensive work of Raúl Asensio, who replaced Tchouaméni, and Rüdiger until the final moments of the match. In the 93rd minute, the insurance goal came via an own goal from Martin Valjent. Just as the match seemed headed for a two-goal victory, Rodrygo Goes extended the lead in the 90+5 minute with a brilliant finish from a Lucas Vázquez cross. The final score: 3-0.

See you next Sunday for a Barça-Real Clasico in the 2025 Spanish Super Cup final. Ancelotti’s men will be eager to take revenge after their heavy defeat in the last Clasico at the Santiago Bernabéu in La Liga on 26 October, while the Catalans will aim to avenge their 4-1 loss in the 2024 Spanish Super Cup final.
