On the way back to Madrid after the team’s defeat against Liverpool at Anfield, the Real Madrid bus was involved in a road accident. Apart from a few minor injuries reported, nothing serious occurred.

When it rains, it pours. Stuck in a negative spiral for the past few months, Florentino Pérez’s club cannot seem to escape bad news. Defeated for the third time in the regular phase of the Champions League this Wednesday in Liverpool, Real Madrid, already plagued with a packed infirmary, received another unfortunate piece of news: an accident involving their bus. According to reports from Marca on Thursday afternoon, the long M40 bus transporting the Madrid team collided with a lorry on the way back to the Spanish capital.

As reported by Relevo, two drivers, a security driver, and Real Madrid’s travel manager were inside the bus at the time of the accident. Fortunately, it was more of a scare than anything else: all four men are fine apart from a few minor injuries. While several vehicles were reportedly involved in this brief incident, the exact causes remain unknown.

It is worth mentioning that Carlo Ancelotti and his players had already returned to Madrid by plane several hours earlier. In any case, Real Madrid is clearly going through a rough patch, with bad news piling up one after the other. It should also be noted that the club always travels with its bus for matches, whether in Spain or abroad.
