Always looking for solutions to strengthen his team, Carlo Ancelotti has found a player to replace Lucas Vazquez for the rest of this season.
Real Madrid has several pressing issues on the table. Between the team’s physical problems, the natural rivalry between certain players, and the search for viable solutions to allow the team to compete on all fronts this season, the responsibilities are significant for Florentino Pérez and Carlo Ancelotti. Speaking of the coach, he has just made a big decision for the right-back position, which is suffering from the absence of Dani Carvajal.
Ancelotti’s new favourite

In search of a natural profile for the right-back position to replace Lucas Vazquez for the rest of the season, Ancelotti is drawing from the reserves. According to Marca, the 65-year-old coach, impressed by the performances of young Jesús Fortea (17 years old), has integrated the Spanish right-back into the first team. Although he was shuttling between Juvenil A and the professional team of Real Madrid, Fortea, who has 10 caps with Spain’s U17 team, is now permanently part of the first team.
This is a great reward for the player born on 26 March 2007. Appreciated for his defensive play similar to that of Carvajal, the young right-back continues to train with the professionals and hopes to get some minutes in certain matches this season. With the shortage of players in defence, especially on the right side of Madrid’s defence, Jesús Fortea has every chance to make an impression.
If he were to start a match now, it would be in the Copa del Rey, at the beginning of next year. If he continues to perform well in training and impress Carlo Ancelotti, the young native of Albal can hope to make appearances in La Liga. At a time when the Madrid management is reportedly reluctant to sign players in January, this would be a great move. We shall see.
