Having joined Real Madrid’s U17 team in 2021, Diocou, who recently extended his contract until 2026, has been putting in impressive performances this season.
Valued for his defensive and offensive qualities, the young Spanish-Senegalese player, born in 2005, has caught the attention of Carlo Ancelotti’s staff. Currently being assessed alongside several other reserve players who can provide cover, such as Raúl Asencio, the Madrid staff plans to pay closer attention to Babacar Diocou. As one of the few players of African descent in the academy, the young full-back is expected to receive particular focus in the coming weeks as the club shifts its policy towards developing young talents.
