The young attacking midfielder of Real Madrid, Arda Güler, ends 2024 on a very positive note. A day after his final match of the year against Sevilla FC, the 19-year-old player has been awarded a prestigious accolade.
Unlike last season, Arda Güler is playing a significant role in Real Madrid’s squad this campaign. Having arrived in the Spanish capital last year, the Turkish international is clearly progressing. Far more technically mature, the player has earned the trust of Carlo Ancelotti, who is giving him more playing time. With the current season halfway through, Güler has already played 19 matches, including 7 as a starter. As he continues to catch the eye, the former Fenerbahçe player has now become a focal point for LaLiga, which has just recognised his talent.
The best U23 player in LaLiga

Recently nominated for the title of December’s best U23 player in Spain’s top division, Arda Güler was crowned on Monday by LaLiga. Beating names such as Lamine Yamal, Ilaix Moriba, and Jon Aramburu, Real Madrid’s number 15 claimed the award for the best player of the final month of 2024 – a distinction presented by LaLiga in collaboration with Riyadh Season.
“The young Real Madrid player has gained prominence in recent weeks, helping Carlo Ancelotti’s team achieve positive results with his goals and assists. The ’15’ of the white team wins this LaLiga EA SPORTS U23 Player of the Month award for the first time in his career after surpassing Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona), Ilaix Moriba (RC Celta), Jon Aramburu (Real Sociedad), and Fábio Silva (UD Las Palmas),” stated the announcement from the organisation led by Javier Tebas.
Despite the fierce competition in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, Arda Güler manages to stand out thanks to his intrinsic talent. Regarded as the Madrid player with the most precise shooting ability, the Turkish prodigy is poised to achieve great things with Real Madrid in the coming weeks. In 2025, where several significant challenges await, he is expected to enjoy much more playing time. Without a doubt, the 19-year-old has a new status, vastly different from Endrick, with whom he was sharing the bench just a few weeks ago.
