Jude Bellingham confirms Alexander-Arnold’s future ahead of Liverpool – Real Madrid

With the Liverpool-Real Madrid clash just hours away, Jude Bellingham has spoken about the future of his compatriot Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Reds right-back being targeted by the Casa Blanca.

Since Dani Carvajal’s serious injury against Villarreal, Real Madrid have been working to strengthen Carlo Ancelotti’s squad. While Florentino Perez is keen to sign a central defender, the priority is the right-back position. Since Carvajal’s injury, Ancelotti has put his faith in Lucas Vazquez, who has not been fully satisfactory, given that the Spanish international started out as a winger.

Unfortunately, Lucas Vazquez himself was injured, so the Transalpine coach decided to play his all-rounder, Fédé Valverde, on the right of defence. For the time being, he is happy with the Uruguayan, but Real Madrid would like to be active in the winter transfer market and, above all, wait for good opportunities in the summer.

According to the Spanish press, Florentino Perez has identified Trent Alexander-Arnold as his top priority at right-back for Real Madrid. The England international, whose contract expires in June, is not expected to leave Anfield in January, and Madrid look set to wait until the summer for the Liverpool native.

England team-mates Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold could be playing together at Real Madrid next season. At the press conference on the eve of Liverpool’s clash with Real Madrid, the England international midfielder did not escape questions about his friend Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose future is linked with Real Madrid.

True to his usual elegant style, the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder was careful to avoid any direct comment on the possibility of Trent Alexander-Arnold signing for Real Madrid.
