Kylian Mbappe is going through the darkest period of his football career. Having won everything in France, including the World Cup, the Bondyn native joined the club of his heart to fulfil his dream. But that dream is rapidly turning into a nightmare for the former Parisian.
Since arriving at Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe’s performances have been below his usual standards. In 18 games played for Real Madrid, the French international has scored 9 goals, including 3 penalties, and provided 2 assists in all competitions. What’s more, in his last eleven appearances, Kylian has only found the net twice. These performances fall well short of his status as a key player, especially as his contribution to the game also seems limited.

Kylian Mbappe (25) is used to pressure. But his lacklustre start to the season at Real Madrid is starting to annoy the fans of the Casa Blanca club. Wednesday night’s 2-0 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League was the last straw, especially after his penalty miss.
One of the fans decided to take action by posting a viral video on social media in which he burns Kylian Mbappe’s shirt. In the video, the Real Madrid fan suggested that: ‘My hopes and support for Kylian Mbappé are over. I guess anyone who supports him has an IQ equal to that of a fly,’ he blurted out.
Carlo Ancelotti and the club have yet to react to the incident, but the message is clear: Kylian Mbappe will have to turn things around very quickly if he is to win back the hearts of Madrid fans.
