Previously, Barcelona held a solid lead in the league with a nine-point advantage over Real Madrid (who still have a game in hand against Valencia). However, Hansi Flick’s team suffered a defeat away at Anoeta this Sunday against Real Sociedad.
A defeat that benefits Real
Coming off a streak of seven consecutive wins across all competitions, including two major victories over Bayern Munich in the Champions League and Real Madrid just a few days ago, Barça stumbled against Kubo’s team.
