After the 13th matchday of La Liga, Real Madrid has cleared up the situation regarding Rodrygo Goes and Lucas Vazquez, who was also injured against Osasuna. While Eder Militao is out for the rest of the season, the other two will miss significant fixtures.

Injuries at Real Madrid seem never-ending. While the absence of Eder Militao for the remainder of the season is mourned, along with Dani Carvajal’s due to a torn cruciate ligament in his knee, the other players injured last Saturday will be dearly missed by the team. The first to be injured against Osasuna, Rodrygo Goes underwent tests on Monday. According to the results, the Brazilian forward has been diagnosed with an injury to the right femoral muscle of his left leg.

2024 nearly over for Goes

Rodrygo Goes : The terrible announcement from Real Madrid after Osasuna

Regarded as one of the key figures in Madrid’s attack, Rodrygo Goes is therefore at risk of not playing again this year. According to José Luis Sánchez’s reports on El Chiringuito TV, the star, who left a bad memory for Borussia Dortmund’s coach, will be out for five to six weeks. Considering there are only about 20 days left until the end of November, it seems very unlikely that the 23-year-old forward will be back on the pitch this year, especially if the coaching staff doesn’t want to take any more risks.

Having already been injured a few days ago (against BVB in the Champions League), Rodrygo Goes was expected to return earlier than planned. While this was good news for Carlo Ancelotti, the comeback was short-lived due to a quick relapse against Osasuna. Now, it is clear that the coaching staff will have to cope without their gem for the important matches at the end of the year, notably against Liverpool, Athletic Bilbao, and Atalanta Bergamasca.

Let’s also note that Lucas Vazquez, who is suffering from a long adductor injury in his left leg, might possibly return to action this year, as he is out for a month. However, the right-back will miss key matches, including the one against Liverpool. With Florentino Pérez’s new strategy in place, Carlo Ancelotti will rely on the young players from the reserve and, above all, will have to manage until the winter break.
