Speaking on the After Foot programme on RMC Sport, the German media personality stated that the arrival of young Florian Wirtz (21) in the Spanish capital would be a significant boost for Florentino Pérez’s club. “If Real Madrid sign Wirtz this summer, there will be five Champions League titles in Madrid in the next decade. This young prodigy is the player they are missing. Despite having this incredible talent, Leverkusen are dropping a lot of points.”
Indeed, the young Bayer Leverkusen star has been linked to Real Madrid for months, but he currently seems far from leaving Germany. Trained at the reigning German champions, the young attacking midfielder and winger, who continues to excel week after week, is under contract until June 2027.
