At just 21, Jude Bellingham continues to make history. After an exceptional year with Real Madrid and the England team, he is one of six finalists for the 2024 Sports Personality of the Year award.
Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham is officially in the running to win the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year award. This is a first for the England prodigy, who finds himself alongside other iconic figures in British sport such as Luke Littler (darts), Joe Root (cricket), Keely Hodgkinson (athletics), Alex Yee (triathlon) and Dame Sarah Storey (cycling).

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 17 December at a ceremony in Manchester. The nomination is in recognition of an outstanding year for Bellingham, both nationally and internationally.
Bellingham’s historic season with Real Madrid and England
After arriving at Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, Jude Bellingham quickly established himself as a key member of the team. In his first season, he helped the club win La Liga, the Champions League and the Spanish Supercup, scoring an impressive 23 goals in all competitions.
His contribution did not stop there. Bellingham was also decisive at the start of the current season.
He has also added the UEFA Supercup to his list of honours. These outstanding performances have been rewarded with third place in the Ballon d’Or 2024, just behind team-mate Vinícius Jr and Spanish midfielder Rodri.

With the national team, Bellingham shone at UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany. He scored two crucial goals, including a spectacular bicycle-kick against Slovakia that is etched in fans’ memories.

With his performances for club and country, Jude Bellingham has received prestigious awards, such as La Liga 2023/24 Player of the Season and Champions League Young Player of the Season. He also won the Laureus Revelation of the Year award.
