The 25-year-old Moroccan international will not go out on loan and will continue his adventure with Real Madrid. Brahim Diaz’s entourage confirms that the player “will stay 100%” at Valdebebas.

Despite rumours relayed by the Spanish and Italian press in recent days regarding a return on loan to AC Milan in January 2025, those close to the Atlas Lion affirm that he feels fully involved in Real Madrid’s project. The two parties are in discussions to renew the player’s contract until 2027. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, the return of the 2022 Italian champion is not on the agenda for Milan. “There is no chance that Brahim Díaz will return to Milan. The Spanish talent, currently at Real Madrid, is not part of the Rossoneri’s plans in the near future,” he says.

Despite the limited playing time given to the player trained at Malaga since the start of the season, with only 2 starts in 7 La Liga matches and 1 appearance in the Champions League (234 minutes in total), the player has scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists.

He is among the first to come off the bench. Last season, Brahim was a wonderful supersub. In La Liga, Brahim played a major role in winning the league and the Champions League. Often coming off the bench, he managed to score 8 goals and provide 6 assists in 18 starts (31 matches played).

An opportunity to seize

In the Champions League, he played 9 matches with 3 starts (2 goals and 1 assist). With the arrival of Kylian Mbappé last July, places in attack have become scarce. The Moroccan international will have to make extra efforts to break into the rotation. Injured on matchday five against Real Sociedad, Brahim was sidelined for just over a month. His return coincides with a plethora of injuries in the Madrid club, including that of Brazilian international Rodrygo (1 month absence). The former AC Milan player will have to take advantage of this to earn a place in Real’s starting eleven.

A Moroccan international since March 2024, Brahim is also well established in Walid Regragui’s squad. Scoring 4 goals in 2 starts (3 matches), including a brace against Gabon on 15 November in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers to be held in Morocco, the 25-year-old player is expected to be the technical leader of the Atlas Lions’ attack. Gaining more playing time with the White House would allow him to continue to shine with the national team.
