According to journalist Romain Molina, Real Madrid striker Vinicius Jr could leave the Casa Blanca for the Saudi league.
While rumours have been circulating in recent hours that the Saudi Pro League is interested in Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Jr is said to be attracted by the astronomical sums offered by Saudi clubs. The country’s oil wealth has enabled its clubs to recruit big-name players in recent years, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Karim Benzema and Sadio Mané. Should Real Madrid finally agree to sell Vinicius Jr, the club could make a substantial profit.
The Brazilian striker is currently one of the most sought-after players in the world and his market value is estimated at over €100 million. However, Florentino Perez knows that he will receive no less than €200 million from the sale of the Auriverde. According to Romain Molina, Vinicius Jr is letting his entourage convince him, and the trend is clear: he will be leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season.
‘Real Madrid are perfectly aware that there are discussions. The player is more than interested, because those around him are too. You can imagine the sums involved, not to mention certain privileges linked to image rights. We’re talking about hundreds of millions a year, a historic contract that would surpass that of Cristiano Ronaldo. It would be a contract never seen before in the history of football,’ Romain Molina began by releasing in a video that went viral on social networks.
Saudi Arabia offers Vinicius Jr the moon
Vinicius Jr‘s future at Real Madrid is now uncertain. While Saudi Arabia’s interest is obvious, the Brazilian had expressed his desire to stay at the club, but things have since changed following his failure to win the Ballon d’Or. According to Romain Molina, if a sufficiently attractive offer is made, Real Madrid could be tempted to sell their star striker in the summer of 2025.
‘There’s also this idea of an ambassador, of going further. They’ve even started talking about setting up a big anti-racism foundation, with some people close to Vinícius Jr, which shows the scale of the potential sums involved. Everyone is whispering in his ear: ‘The Saudis really respect you, they adore you. Look what they’re prepared to do for you. And then there’s the Ballon d’Or thing. The question was whether he was going to say: ‘I’m going to stay at Real to win it’ or not. In the end, it all points to him leaving Real Madrid,’ he added.

Vinicius Jr is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2027. This means that the club has control over his future and can demand a hefty transfer fee if it wishes to sell him. During the 2024/2025 season, Vinicius Jr has already made 18 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 12 goals and providing 8 assists. He has become a key component of Madrid’s attack, alongside Kylian Mbappé.
